Efi is based in Luzhou, Sichuan province, and is well known for her fish based dishes, notably her Pempek. Efi started selling Pempek in 2019, but became more active in 2020. Growing up in province of Bangka Belitung, she learned how to make Pempek during her college years, and her passion for fish-based food led her to specialize in Pempek, Otak-otak, and other fish-based dishes. Efi’s main ingredient is Ikan Gabus (Snakehead fish), a freshwater fish that is easily accessible in China due to its popularity and availability in many markets and supermarkets across the country. She has a good reputation among Indonesian people in China, especially those based in Sichuan, for her delicious and authentic tasting dishes.
